Corporate Purpose

The reason NPAC exists is to "Personalize Care."

To fulfill this purpose, there are three areas of anesthesia care that must be personalized.  The strength of NPAC is the ability to personalize care for patients, doctors, and the care environment.

Personalizing Care to the Patient -
Modern anesthesia practice provides anesthesiologists with a wide assortment of drugs and techniques. Care is personalized by choosing the particular options appropriate for each patient.  The patient's state of health, the planned procedure, and the patient's wishes are all taken into consideration.  Above all, the most important factor is patient safety.

Personalizing Care for the Doctor -
When a doctor plans a procedure with a patient, anesthesia care is a common requirement.  Regardless of the procedure type or duration, every case places technical demands on the doctor to achieve the desired result.  These demands are universal across all surgical specialties.  Anesthesia care that is personalized for the doctor provides the optimum conditions where the treatment goals can be realized.

Personalizing Care to the Environment -
The variety of environments where anesthesia care is used has expanded well beyond the hospital and ambulatory surgery center to include the doctor's office.  Though a new range of treatment options may be opened in the office, the same standard of safety and medical care applies.  Care is personalized to the environment by developing processes to maintain efficiency while assuring patients and doctors of attention to all the details of safe, proficient, and competent anesthesia practice.
